The Sun Scrim 8x8 Scrim 3/3 fabric softens and reduces light by about -3/3 f-stops (measured directly behind the diffuser cloth). The light/shadow contrast is optimally adjusted, e.g. highlights that were previously cut out can now be controlled, even when the sun is steep in the sky and the contrasts are strongest. The result is an even light.
