The EOS-1D X Mark III is so fast - offering exceptional precision, reliability, powerful performance and subject tracking. The autofocus algorithm improves stability and tracking - both through the optical viewfinder and in live-view mode - by using deep-learning-technology that ensures precise tracking with every shot. The optical viewfinder uses an innovatively developed autofocus sensor that has a resolution approximately 28x higher than the EOS-1D X Mark II. In addition, the EOS-1D X Mark III offers an extended AF light sensitivity range with greater precision and has a range of autofocus functions that help capture that one, crucial shot. In live-view mode, 525 AF areas are available and the Dual Pixel CMOS AF system covers approximately 90 percent of the horizontal and 100 percent of the vertical sensor area. The AF algorithm, which works through the optical viewfinder when used, is also used when shooting in live-view mode. It offers more flexibility when shooting dynamic subjects - whether it's a racing car on the track or a bird in flight. The EOS-1D X Mark III offers you significantly higher frame rates with full autofocus and exposure metering, either through the optical viewfinder (up to 16 fps with mechanical shutter) or in live-view at up to 20 fps - with either mechanical or electronic shutter. In addition, thanks to the CFexpress card slots, the range of RAW continuous shooting has been increased by a factor of 5 compared to the previous model.
